Well hey there. I am breaking my silence. Not that I have anything all that important to say, but the fact that I am saying something is, in itself, important. I never meant to take this much time off (over a month!) but I think I really needed it. With everything that’s been going on, I just really needed the down time when I was able to get it. Since we last talked, AJ and I went on our honeymoon to Hawaii, moved into our new house, went down to Orange County to help my parents with a big event they put on every year, and spent about zero time at home. It has been so, so great, but also exhausting. This weekend was our first at home in a while, and it felt so good to just have the freedom to do whatever we felt like. We went to the Farmer’s Market. We had friends over for dinner. We went to a BBQ, and we took the dog to the beach. All things so simple and ordinary, but things that are so essential to my feeling grounded. With everything that has changed in the last few months, it is so nice to see that the things that we do can still stay the same, and that ordinary life is just perfect.
I wanted to get on here and share some images from our wedding day. I’m not really going to narrate, because I think the images can just speak for themselves. This is the first batch of photos, from getting ready through the ceremony. The pictures from the party will come in another post since there are just too many to share. It was quite the day, and I had a total blast. I will look back on that day very fondly for the rest of my life.
Can I just talk a moment here and talk about how grumpy Dedas looks? She was not stoked to have to sit still for the whole 20 minutes or so that the ceremony took. Not. Stoked.
I have some exciting news to share later this week, so stay tuned!
